About Old Chelts Netball Club

Old Chelts has been a leading Gloucestershire Netball Club for a number of years now...but like everything, there is a history behind it.

There has been little documented about the Club in it's early years, but the club was originally formed in 1976 under the name of "Falcons". The players at this time, consisted of students from the St Paul's and St Mary's Cheltenham College.

As time progressed and the players acquired jobs (primarily teaching within the local area), the club began to grow by recruiting further netball talent from within the schools. Many girls from the age of 14 joined and a large number progressed to various Colleges and Universities throughout the country and have since returned to the area and have re-joined the club.

The club then changed it's name to Old Chelts.
